KULEANA

Kuleana is the Hawaiian word for responsibility. It can also mean ownership, authority, concern, and property.

In KULEANA,  Hawaiian values battle invasive culture when Kim, long presumed dead, reappears in 1971 Maui and joins forces with Nohea, a reluctant warrior to battle her father, Victor Coyle, a businessman who conspires to own the island’s water. The childhood friends must protect thier family and risk everything in the deadly confrontation, only to discover that kuleana is not a burden, it is a privilege.
